If you’re looking for the perfect movie to see on Valentine’s Day, the upcoming film, “The Photograph,” may fit the bill.

Although the movie, which stars “Insecure” actress Issa Rae and “Atlanta” actor Lakeith Stanfield, is touted as a romantic comedy, drama is certainly at play.

Rae plays Mae, who is confronted by complicated feelings in the wake of her photographer mother’s recent death. She discovers a box of belongings — one of which is a photo of Mae’s mother with a past love interest. Stanfield, meanwhile, plays Michael, who is writing a profile about Mae’s late mom. Soon, however, he becomes smitten with her daughter. As Mae discovers more previously untold stories about her mother’s past, she battles with unresolved feelings. All the while, her emerging romance begins mirroring the one her mom once had.

According to the movie's website, writer-director Stella Meghie's original screen play is "a sweeping love story about forgiveness and finding the courage to seek the truth, no matter where it may lead you."

The flick is also produced by Will Packer, who is responsible for hit films including “Girls Trip” and the “Ride Along” franchise.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is giving away 30 tickets for a special screening of “The Photograph.” The contest will run from Jan. 30 to Feb. 5.
