Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue and Adoptions is joining forces this holiday season with national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society and other animal rescue groups and shelters across the country to find forever homes for pets.

Under the annual "Bring Joy to Your World" animal adoption campaign, which runs through Dec. 31, select animals may be adopted for a $25 fee.

Adoptable animals will be available for viewing every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart in Kennesaw, and two Sundays a month at Pet Supermarket at Ansley Mall. See website for details.

"Whether you have your heart set on a purebred or an All-American mixed breed, you don't have to pay high prices to have a top-shelf pet join your family," said Tammy Turley, executive director of Mostly Mutts. "Just come meet our amazing dogs, cats, puppies and and you'll fall in love."

Mostly Mutts is an active partner in Best Friends No More Homeless Pets® Network which offers help and support to animal rescue groups that save lives in their communities.

In addition to the adoption fee, Mostly Mutts’ holiday adoption promotions include a welcome home kit with cleaning supplies, a toy, treats, coupons and information.

The Cobb County non-profit strives to reduce the number of animals euthanized at local shelters in metro Atlanta. It has saved nearly 5,000 animals since 2004.
