Race for a cause: At 8 a.m. Saturday, April 18, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church will hold its 5th annual Race for Grace, a 5K/10K walk/run Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Proceeds will help fund the church's youth and summer mission trips. Registration is $30. After the race, runners can indulge in Waffle House biscuits and other treats. Teen summit: New Life Church & Community Center in Decatur is hosting a teen summit about relationships from 8 a.m. -4 p.m. Saturday, April 18. The event is called "If Love is A Game, Check Your Mate! Healthy Relationships." Organized by PEERsuaders, a youth development program, topics such as dating violence, money, sex abuse, communication and self-respect will be discussed using board game themes. Evening concert: Johns Creek Baptist Church will feature Sandi Patty and Veritas in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19. The JCBC Sanctuary Choir will also perform. Pastor's anniversary: Pastor Wilbur T. Purvis III will celebrate his 22nd anniversary at Destiny World Church on Sunday, April 19. Cue the choir: Westminster Presbyterian Church will feature all five levels of the Georgia Boy Choir in its annual "Voices of Spring" concert to celebrate spring and mark the conclusion of the choir's local performance season. Free film screening: The Henry County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will present a free viewing of the documentary "An Ordinary Hero: The True Story of Joan Trumpauer Mulholland" from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at Higher Living Christian Church. Mulholland was a Freedom Rider and civil rights activist at the age of 19. She is also known for her participation in the Woolworth lunch counter sit-ins. A Q&A with Mulholland will follow the film.
