There are two different websites registrants can visit depending on whether or not they are members of the Atlanta Track Club, the race's organizer. Members should register here. Non-members should register here.

The 6.2 mile race occurs annually on the Fourth of July and will take 60,000 racers through Buckhead and Midtown and end in Piedmont Park.

Potential runners ages 10 and older can opt to sign up individually or as a team. If you decide to enter the race as a team — up to 10 people can be in a group — each team member must register during the 16-day lottery window. Once registration ends, no one else will be able to register or join a team, according to the Atlanta Track Club.

Regarding present concerns over the spread of COVID-19, Atlanta Track Club announced the AJC Peachtree Road Race will currently continue as planned.

“We hope and expect to celebrate running and walking on Independence Day as Atlanta always does,” said Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club’s executive director and Race Director of the AJC Peachtree Road Race. “The Club has received no information from health officials indicating that the Peachtree is at risk of not happening on the 4th of July. But as Atlanta and the rest of the country deals with Covid-19, Atlanta Track Club understands the unprecedented situation facing public events.”

There is no refund policy in place, but the Track Club said it will not retain Peachtree entry fees without offering participants consideration and options if the race has to be scratched.

“Atlanta Track Club is and always has been an organization that focuses on health and wellness,” Kenah said. “As we plan for the 51st running of the Peachtree that focus will not change.”

Here’s how to participate in the 2020 AJC Peachtree Road Race:

  1. Interested participants who have active membership as of Feb. 1 are guaranteed entry.
  2. To enter, visit  this link.
  3. Atlanta Track Club members can confirm their registration by going to the confirm registration link at atlantatrackclub.org/peachtree.

For non-members of the Atlanta Track Club...

  1. Enter the lottery at this link.
  2. Once registered, those registrants will be randomly selected after the lottery closes Tuesday, March 31.
  3. Look out for an email by Friday, April 3 informing you if you were randomly chosen in the lottery to participate.
