Acworth

If you love water slides, you haven't seen anything like the Acworth Slide located at Dallas Landing Park on Lake Allatoona. Known as the "world's largest inflatable water slide," this 175 foot long, 36 foot high slide will give you an experience you won't forget. Only fully potty trained sliders that reach 42 inches in height or taller can participate.
Kennesaw

Join the KSU Summer Orchestra and KSU Big Band in celebrating Independence Day a little early this year at the Kennesaw State University Star Spangled Spectacular happening on June 25. The concert officially begins at 7:30 p.m., but make sure to arrive as early as 4 for games, balloon artists, vendors and face painting. After the concert, enjoy witnessing an amazingly "spectacular" fireworks show.
Marietta

Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Gone With the Wind on June 17 through 19 at the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum. At this three day event, you can enjoy listening to lectures and discussions on the making of the film, see an exclusive Gone With the Wind collection, learn everything you need to know about how to start a collection of your own, compete for the title of most notable Gone With the Wind fan and even get autographs by Gone With the Wind celebrities and authors.

If you have ever wanted to see what flying in a helicopter feels like, now's your chance to take flight. One June 18, the Marietta Museum of History Aviation Wing will offer helicopter rides over Marietta. Each ride takes up to three people around a 6 to 8 mile aerial tour around town, and all proceeds will benefit the Aviation Wing of the museum.
