Mike Nuanes said he and his wife returned from a neighborhood visit and discovered their puppy was gone. They never knew what happened but suspected a dognapping.
Nuanes said his "jaw hit the ground" when he got the call from the Fulton County Animal Shelter in Atlanta, asking if the microchipped dog named Jordan was his.

"He was in pretty bad shape," shelter worker Jill Davis said. She said he was flea-bitten and emaciated and weighed half of what he should have.
Nuanes bought a plane ticket and showed up days later to claim his pet.
The heartwarming reunion was captured on a video posted to the shelter’s Facebook page.
Back home, Jordan has already been accepted by the pack of four dogs already there, Nuanes said.
"Life is good at the Nuanes household for dogs," he said.
