My new workout partner isn’t providing that extra boost I had imagined.

I am out of shape. A 3-mile run used to be my warm-up. Now I’m huffing and puffing to complete 1 mile. My legs are burning and my partner is only adding to the burden — as I literally have to push her to complete each lap around the neighborhood.

I thought my partner would champion my efforts — yelling “Go! Go! Go!” Unfortunately, my partner is unhappy with my pace, as she wants the run to be over before it begins.

At least, I thought I would enjoy the company. Wrong! My running partner is very vocal about her displeasure with her new role.

The only thing worse than trying to get back in shape, is doing it while pushing a stroller with a screaming child.

My sweet Baby Girl is not the best running partner right now. But hopefully we will figure out a way to make this work so Mommy can get some exercise.
