A new spot for Atlanta’s beer lovers to check out will hold a grand opening celebration this weekend.
Red’s Beer Garden recently opened its doors in southeast Atlanta at 1328 Boulevard SE.
Situated off the Southside Beltline trail, the beer garden offers more than 300 brews from around the world on tap and in self-serve refrigerator. They also have wine, cider and spiked seltzer, if beer isn’t your jam. (They also have kombucha and non-alcoholic beverages available).
On Saturday, Red’s will host a grand opening celebration throughout the day beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will feature hot dogs, games, swag giveaways and free cookies from Just Bakery.
A percentage of the food and drink sales will be donated to Community Farmers Market, according to the event's Facebook page.
"We're half a mile south from the Southside Beltline so grab a scooter, bike, or your lovely legs and come on down. Ample, free parking is also available in the lot to the left of Red's Beer Garden," a post on Red's website reads.
Red’s is owned by Kristen and Ed Sumpter. According to their website, the couple wanted to create a place where people could learn about beer while supporting local businesses.
Their menu features both beef and vegan hot dogs with up to four toppings for $7, or enjoy a cup of cheese balls, trail mix or pretzels for $2 or $3, depending on size.
