History: What happens to children when their parents go to jail? About 70% will follow in their parents footsteps, says Kidz2Leaders founder, the Rev. Diane Parrish. To break this cycle, Parrish created Camp Hope, an overnight summer camp where metro Atlanta children of inmates can experience love, stability and hope from a Christian community.

Did you know: Since 1999, Camp Hope has evolved into Kidz2Leaders, a year-round ministry reaching metro Atlanta children ages 8 to 18 through various programs. Interns4Tomorrow prepares high school students for college and offers paid internships. Family Support reinforces healthy relationships through field trips, family retreats, one-on-one parenting support and financial support.

Its motto: "Through long-term commitment, we can truly end generational incarceration."

How you can help: Interact directly with students by serving as a coach, attending a retreat, or serving as a camp counselor. Since all programs, including a clothing closet and annual Christmas event are free to children and their families, financial contributions are needed to support these efforts. Volunteers are needed for office support, Camp Hope, and working with small groups on special projects such as sorting food.
