Feet first

For more than 50 years, Jack Rogers’ sandals have been a summer staple at resort areas from Palm Beach to The Hamptons. The original, handcrafted leather sandal was made popular by Jackie Kennedy in the early 1960s. The company’s classic “Navajo” sandal is still a year-round favorite. Recently, the Florida-based company introduced a jelly version of its famed footwear. The “Bahamas Navajo Jelly” sandal, with its rubber upper and foot bed, goes stylishly to the beach or pool. The flirty flip-flop comes in eight colors, but the top-sellers are gold, zesty orange and white. Available for $68 at www.jackrogersusa.com

Alexa Pulitzer’s whimsical yet elegant line of paper products will make you want to put pen to paper. In her modern collection, the New Orleans native uses many Old World icons associated with the Big Easy, including crowns and the fleur-de-lis. Her King Gator design, which features Louisiana’s state reptile wearing a crown, is one of Pulitzer’s most recognized designs. Trained as a textile artist, Pulitzer has created specialized products for Anthropologie and other retailers. Her new “Hornabet” letterpress coasters (six for $25) are available exclusively through Bergdorf Goodman. The new design features Victorian letters wearing masculine horns. Mirror, mirror

In Chamblee, Margaret Taylor designs frames and furniture using reclaimed wood and salvaged materials, such as decorative tin. For eco-elegance, consider Taylor's Sunburst Mirror for your lake cabin or beach home. The mirror, with its original paint, is available in two sizes: 30 inches ($448) and 40 inches ($609). Another popular choice, especially during the summer, is Taylor's outdoor dining collection. With its contemporary design, the industrial chic tables, benches and chairs are made from salvaged pine, sanded smooth, on a welded steel frame. For example, the bench ($483) is 11 inches wide and 67 inches long. While Taylor's work is sold around the country and at festivals, you can buy it online at www.dryadsdancing.com or at her store and studio, 5655 Peachtree Road, in Chamblee, 770-234-0096. The store is open Mondays-Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
