The 50-foot tall spruce might be described as thin and oddly shaped. Others say this “Charlie Brown” tree is just downright unattractive.

The town of Reading, Pennsylvania, went with opinion number two, and plans to remove the tree.

Fox News reports the city council president is leading a drive to raise the money needed to make a better Christmas impression.
It all started when workers weren’t allowed to buy a tree from an area farm. The land owner told them the ground was too wet for their truck to drive on, so they found a replacement in a city-owned park.
However, residents quickly disapproved.
Officials expect to be able to have a new tree and a lighting ceremony by next weekend.
The replacement tree will have the same lighted pretzel on top to honor the area’s bakeries.
