Police across the country say they are seeing a new holiday trend as thieves continue to steal laser light projectors.
Two recent thefts have been caught on camera in the Boston area.
Last week, a person was caught on camera stealing a projector from outside of a home in West Lynn.
The suspect has not yet been caught.
More recently, a viewer sent FOX25 a video of a thief stealing holiday lights from a home in Dorchester.
The man can be seen struggling to free the lights before eventually walking to another part of the fence, grabbing the laser light projector, and stuffing it inside his shirt before walking away.
The lights cost about $40 but are sold out in many stores.
