Halloween is coming up and for some people costumes are top of mind.
Not for themselves or their children but for their pets.
"I have a Chihuahua and a Border Collie. I have a princess costume for one, and a firefighter costume for the other," said Bethany Hudson.
She’s an assistant manager at a south Tulsa Petco.
“Some of the cuter costumes we got in this year include alligators, dinosaurs and giraffes and the classic hot dog.”
The National Retail Federation says spending on Halloween costumes for pets is expected to hit a record $370 million this year.
Shoppers are buying more than just pet costumes this season.
Sales are increasing in Halloween accessories and night safety products for pet-friendly trick or treating.
Hudson says, “Keep in mind if you’re going out after dark to make sure your dog has some sort of reflective collar or leash to keep your dog safe.”
