If you're a young child, telling Santa what you want for Christmas can seem like an emergency.

Two young brothers in southeastern Wisconsin recently learned calling 911 isn't the best way to reach Santa.

Police say they went to the home of the boys, ages 3 and 6, after they called 911 looking for Santa.  The boys used their dad's cellphone to call 911, hoping dispatchers could connect them with the jolly, big guy.

According to WGN, the boys wanted trucks and a dirt bike for Christmas.

After telling the disappointed brothers that Santa was out of their jurisdiction, the police jokingly released the boys early for good behavior.

The boys received a tour of the police station.
