Three Children's Healthcare doctors chosen as leaders
The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Sibley Heart Center has announced that three of its pediatric cardiologists have been selected to lead national cardiology organizations.
Dr. Peter Fischbach, chief academic officer at Children's Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program, was elected vice president of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society. PACES is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the care of children and young adults with cardiac rhythm disturbances.
Dr. William T. Mahle, medical director of the Heart Transplant Program, was elected Vice President of the Pediatric Heart Transplant Study Group. The PHTS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the science and treatment of children during listing for and following heart transplantation.
Dr. Robert Vincent, director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, was elected president of the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and Governor of the American College of Cardiology.
