The Henry Arts Alliance’s Traveling Pumpkin Show is on display at Henry Medical Center. The pumpkins are part of the McDonough Library’s annual fall festival and promotion of literacy in the community.
Local artists were asked by the Henry Arts Alliance to pick a storybook character and paint a pumpkin featuring that character.
Pumpkins painted in the likeness of Clifford the Big Red Dog, Snoopy, Harry Potter, and Dracula are some of the many storybook characters featured in this year’s Traveling Pumpkin Show. The pumpkins will be on display at Henry Medical Center until Friday when they will be moved to the McDonough Library.
The McDonough Library will host its 7th Annual Fall 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and take part in the festival’s costume parade, snacks and arts and crafts.
