The YMCA of Metro Atlanta and its branches will be holding a free community event to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active. This year marks the 25th annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day, the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families.
YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day, celebrated at 16 Ys across metro Atlanta, will include everything from obstacle courses and bounce houses to face painting and snacks. (See below for specific events at each branch).
The activities are aimed at getting kids moving and learning, and establishing healthy habits they can carry into the summer, a critical time for children's health. Here's a look at some fun, free events open the public. Only a small number require pre-registering, and for those, go to www.ymcakidsday.com to register.
