Great food can come at a great price if you know where to look.
If you've been in search of delectable yet discounted eats, you're in luck. Several Atlantans took time to vote in the most recent Best of Atlanta poll and picked some great options.
For the best dish under $10 in Atlanta, there was a clear front runner. And the winner is...
This year's winner came in a pair —any two sandwiches at Victory Sandwich Bar. The bar was named by The AJC as one of the 10 best places to eat if you're moving to Decatur. Its sandwiches also made the top 3 in last year's Best of Atlanta poll.
At No. 2, Fellini's, one of our great places to have a fancy pizza night, came in second, also offers double the food for under $10 with its two slices deal. Its spinach-mushroom Sicilian pizza is famously delicious, and we haven't even gotten to the music.
The Cuban sandwich at Lazario's Cuban Cuisine took third. Last year, the Cuban spot was in the lead for the top spot for dishes under $10.
Other items in the poll included the Dragon Bowl at Dragon Bowl, grilled cheese and small soup at Souper Jenny, Grammy's Glazed Meatloaf at South Cobb Diner, a tall stack of pancakes and two eggs at Rise-n-Dine, pho at So Ba, pimiento cheese sandwich at Home Grown and a six-pack of wings at Three Dollar Cafe.
If you're still looking to eat cheaply, Georgia has restaurants where your meal is free if you eat it all and great cheap eats recommended by Atlanta chefs. You can also find fine cuisine that's surprising and overlooked.
