WHERE you’ll go
The 60th annual International Red Cross Ball, the only white-tie event of the social season. In addition to ambassadors from six countries, the president of the United States is likely to make an appearance, seeing as how he'll be bunking right upstairs for the weekend.

The event takes place Saturday night at The Mar-a-Lago Club, but if you don't already have a ducat in hand, you're out of luck. Chairwoman Janet Cafaro has 700 seats filled. But if you're willing to part with $25,000, she'll find you a table.
What you’ll WEAR
From Monique Lhuillier’s spring 2017 collection, this French tulle and silk off-the-shoulder gown in deep cherry with ruched draping across bodice and hips and sheer skirt with puddle train. Accessorize with Lhuillier’s “Marlow” embellished shoe, and a Judith Leiber minaudiere.
Jewelry is not optional at this event. Wear a tiara of Burmese rubies and diamonds, and a ruby and diamond parure. What? You don't have either? Don't try to get by with the faux bling. With POTUS in the house, there will be highly sensitive metal detectors to pass through. If your "platinum" or"gold" jewelry doesn't set them off, your seating will be in the Fake Jewelry section. OK, not really.
