ORGANIC EXFOLIATION
Buff Her House of Exfoliation is owned and operated by three Atlanta sisters (and licensed estheticians) whose motto is to 'Feed Your Freakin' Face.' All-natural organic foods go into making the range of rice-based exfoliating products which remove dead skin cells and make it easier for skin to absorb serums and moisturizers. Choose one of the existing formulations based on your skin type such as Banana Bread Pudding ($35) for sensitive skin, Strawberry Parfait ($35) for combination skin or Vanilla Bean Latte ($35) for oily skin. Or create your own combination for $50. Available online at buffher.com or at Woo Skincare & Cosmetics, 2339-A Peachtree Road in Peachtree Battle Shopping Center.
UPDATED MOISTURIZER
Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion Plus is a departure from the original formula. The pale yellow lotion, launched in 1968, has been updated with new technology and ingredients to help strengthen skin’s barrier and provide double the moisturizing power of the original. New ingredients include hyaluronic acid, glycerin and urea. The new formula is quick absorbing, allergy tested and fragrance free. It is available now at Belk stores for $26.
TINTED GLOSS
MAC So Supreme — inspired by the trend of lip gloss with a tint — offers sheer lip color in a range of limited-edition shades. The lightweight formula is moisturizing and easily applied with a pen-style brush applicator. Four of the eight new shades, which include corals, pinks, berries and nudes, are inspired by Asia. Shades include Bubble Gum, a soft warm pink; Gwi-Yo-Mi, a mid-tone raspberry and Glorious Intent, a warm plum. Sheen Supreme Lipglass Tint is available for $20 at MAC counters. Sheen Supreme is also available as a lipstick (in five limited edition shades) for $17.
