The $119 shoe is designed for runners who want to experience the technology of a Newton shoe — known for encouraging the proper running technique — while transitioning from a more conventional running shoe. The Energy includes a version of Newton’s impact-zone cushioning technology and has a lightweight, breathable mesh upper. The shoe weighs nine ounces for men and seven ounces for women.
