Inspired by their dogs, locals Wendy Weeks and Julianna Critz, created Clyde and Christopher Adventure Aprons. "I was trying to learn how to walk the dog and every time I would walk out the door, I would forget something," Weeks said. She and Critz paired up and since neither was a seamstress, they began working with skilled refugee women in the metro area who hand-make the aprons featuring seven pockets and a key fob and come in a range of colors and fabrics. The styles, named after real dogs, have evolved into the perfect accessory for hairdressers, concert-goers, teachers, maids of honor and more. The aprons cost $48 to $65 and are available at www.adventureaprons.com.
