It seemed to take forever, but summer camping season is at hand.

If you haven’t tented in awhile or simply are in the market for a new tent, three recent models from Eureka offer the perfect mix of portability and functionality and are available in two- or three-person sizes, depending on your needs.

Best of all, the tents have only two poles to tackle.

The Taron dome-style tent costs $169.99 for the two-person model and $209.99 for the Taron 3. The three-person model also has front and rear vestibules for stashing gear, along with an interior wall, side pockets and a gear loft. The Taron 2 weighs 4 pounds, 14 ounces, and the three-person Taron weighs 6 pounds, 4 ounces.

The Midori model of tents is designed for novice to intermediate campers and features a side entry. The Midori 2 has a single hooded vent in the fly and two interior pockets, while the Midori 3 has two hooded vents, four interior pockets and a gear loft. Prices range from $139.99 to $179.99. The two-person model weighs 4 pounds, 7 ounces, while the Midori 3 weighs 6½ pounds.

A third option, the Amari Pass, is an entry-level backpacking tent with an aluminum frame that’s available in solo, two- or three-person models. The tents range in price from $119.99 to $169.99. The solo weighs in at 3 pounds, 10 ounces; the two-person at 4 pounds, 9 ounces; and the three-person at 4 pounds, 14 ounces.
