History: Easterseals of North Georgia, Inc. is a 69-year-old affiliate of the national Easterseals, Inc. The affiliate is making a huge impact on the lives of children with disabilities and special needs by advocating for and providing early intervention programs and services.

Did you know: As a champion for children with developmental needs, Easterseals of North Georgia, Inc. assists hundreds of thousands of children and their families in 44 counties.

Its motto: Easterseals of North Georgia, Inc. connects Georgia families with the resources and services they need to "live, learn, work and play in their communities." The organization advocates for children and is "committed to building a future where all children – regardless of ability – are 100% included and 100% empowered."

How you can help: Its 12 child development centers are always looking for individuals and organizations to bond with children through reading or song and dance performances. Volunteers can work on various projects, and seniors 55 years and older can serve as "foster grandparents."
