Atlanta fans of "Parks and Recreation" will have the chance to meet the man behind the disgruntled but beloved parks director Ron Swanson.

Author, actor and humorist Nick Offerman will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Georgia Tech's Ferst Center for the Arts, 349 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, to discuss his book "Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop."

Like his television character, Offerman has an affinity for woodwork, and his new book reflects that.

Along with offering novice woodworkers with new projects the book offers a "sneak a peek at 'wood porn' and ... humorous insight into woodworking in modern America from the mustachioned man himself," according to a press release from A Cappella Books, the publishing house behind Offerman's book.

General admission tickets to "An evening with Nick Offerman" are $45 and include a signed, first edition copy of "Good Clean Fun."  Georgia Tech faculty, staff and students will receive a $5 discount on tickets bought at Ferst Center Box Office.
