Chris Rock stopped by Atlantic Station about 10 p.m. Tuesday to introduce his new film, "Top Five," before a special advance screening. He then went, where else? To an area Waffle House.

"Top Five" is packed with stars including Adam Sandler, Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Whoopi Goldberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Tracy Morgan, Romany Malco and Cedric the Entertainer.

The plot per imdb: “A comedian tries to make it as a serious actor when his reality-TV star fiancee talks him into broadcasting their wedding on her TV show.”

Buckhead’s house-hunter to the stars

"Mockingjay" stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth had a great stay in Atlanta thanks in part to the efforts of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty agent Carter Phillips. When various filming projects starring Tyler Perry, Kate Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland, T.I. or Geena Davis have needed a cool loft location for interior scenes, Phillips was the man with a plan.

A 12,000-square-foot Castleberry Hill loft owned by one of Phillips’ clients has been the site of filming for projects including “The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” starring Hudson and Sutherland; “Coma,” an A&E miniseries starring Davis; Perry’s “The Marriage Counselor”; and a T.I. video.

Phillips has also expanded his repertoire to helping stars find temporary housing while they’re in Atlanta working on movies. He found suitable digs for Lawrence and Hemsworth during “Mockingjay” filming.

Although he will not spill a single detail while the A-listers are in town, Phillips was willing to say this week that J-Law and Hemsworth were fun to work with, now that they’re long gone. “I really love what I do,” he mused. Who’s he working with these days? We’ll have to wait and see.
