Want to hang out with furry feline friends?  Seattle’s first cat café is set to open later this month.

The three University of Washington students who created Seattle Meowtropolitan say they wanted to create a café and community hangout for people and cats.

Their motivation was to serve people who love cats and while helping save animals.

The café is partnering with Regional Animal Services of King County to help house some pets from their adoption center. The cafe hopes to have a cat-friendly environment for 10 to 15 animals at a time.

The cats lounging with customers at Seattle Meowtropolitan will be available for adoption.
