Get your baskets ready. Easter egg hunts will be held across metro Atlanta. Many are during the day and include games and meeting the Easter Bunny. A handful are at night and require flashlights.

Here’s a look at some springtime fun:

100 E. Crogan St., Lawrenceville. 7 p.m. Friday, April 14. Free for parents, who must accompany children; $6 per person for ages 2-12. Experience the thrill of hunting for Easter eggs … in the dark! During the first half of this event, children will enjoy making themed crafts. Then the egg hunt for children ages 2-5 begins promptly at 8:15 p.m., ages 6-9 at 8:45 p.m. and ages 10-12 at 9:15 p.m. Be sure to bring your basket and a flashlight. Space is limited, so register early. You must preregister by April 3 online at https://secure.rec1.com/GA/gwinnett-county-parks-recreation/catalog and use the code RJP11425 or call 678-277-0890.

Lilburn Easter Egg Hunt

Lilburn City Park, 76 Main St. Lilburn. 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15. Free.

Visit the Easter Bunny and find eggs hidden in Lilburn City Park. The event begins at 10 a.m., with the egg hunt beginning promptly at 11 a.m. The Easter Egg Hunt is for children up to 12 years of age. Children will be divided into age categories, and there will be a separate area for children with special needs. Parents are not allowed on the field, except with the 0-3 years age group and the special needs group. Don't forget to bring your basket.

Duluth Easter Egg Hunt

Bring your Easter baskets, your little ones and be ready for tons of fun with the kids. Schedule for the 23rd annual Easter Egg Hunt includes egg hunt beginning at 2 p.m. (The Egg Hunt will be divided into two groups, ages 3 and under and ages 4 and up). Sponsored by  Duluth's Parks &   Recreation Department

Johns Creek — Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt  

Park Place at Newtown School (event lawn). 3125 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek. 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15. Free.  The Johns Creek Recreation & Parks Division offers programs and events to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. This popular event catering to special needs residents returns this year and will include games, food and photos with the Easter Bunny. All ages welcome. Avondale Estates Easter Egg Hunt

Lake Avondale, 59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates. 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 15. Free. The city of Avondale Estates will once again host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Community Club at Lake Avondale. Children up to 10 years of age are welcome to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt, which starts promptly at 10 a.m. The hunt is divided into four sections based on age: 2 and under, 3-4 years, 5-7 years and 8-10 years. Bring your furry canine friend for the annual dog parade (costumes encouraged), happening at the same time as the Easter Egg Hunt.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 15. 980 Briarcliff Road N.E., Atlanta. Tickets are available online $4, or at the door for $8. All kids and adults must have a ticket! Strongly recommended to buy tickets in advance, as tickets may sell out.

Kids bring their own baskets and scour the chromatic flora-lined grounds for plastic eggs packed with candy and the ever-elusive three golden prize eggs. Ages 3 and younger hit the grass at 11:15 a.m., ages 4-6 at 11:30 a.m. and ages 7-12 hunt at 11:45 a.m. Why should eggs get all the color? Face painters bedeck willing tots for $5 each. The latter get to meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, and roll up their sleeves for arts and crafts.    (For tickets, go to http://callanwolde.org/event/eggstravaganza-2016.).No onsite parking available. 4th Annual Glow-N-Dark Easter Egg Hunt

High Falls State Park - Jackson, GA

6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Apr 15.Over 5,000 glowing eggs will fill the day use area for children to find. Come before the hunt for food trucks, games, and s'mores. Space is limited, registration is required. $7 plus $5 parking (per vehicle). 478-993-3053.

Easter Egg Hunt at  Richard. B. Russell State Park - Elberton 

10 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday, April 15. 500 Easter Eggs as well as 10 Golden Eggs will up for grabs on the disc golf course. If you are lucky enough to find a Golden Egg you will win an Easter Surprise! There will have two age groups: 5 and under and ages 6-12. $5 parking. 706-213-2045.

Old Fashioned Easter at Elijah Clark State Park in Lincolnton 
2 p.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Apr 15. Dye eggs from natural dyes made at the park, play old timey games like egg toss and egg rolls and go on an Easter scavenger hunt; there will be prizes! You can even create a burlap Easter bunny and younger children can participate in an Easter egg hunt. $5 plus per participating child and $5 parking. 706-359-3458.
