The Annual Atlanta AIDS Walk and 5K Run gets underway Oct. 18 in Piedmont Park.
The fundraiser will mark the 25th anniversary of the Atlanta Walk by AID Atlanta. The NAMES Project Foundation will be displaying more than 100 blocks of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in honor of all those who have lost their lives and who have been impacted by the deadly virus.
Those who would like their loved one included have until Oct. 12 to submit the name on a panel or block number.
