As the state of Georgia considers whether to offer its residents an incentive to get the COVID-19 vaccination, Georgia’s Own will give one lucky person an entertainment “passport” for doing so.

As part of its promotion, the credit union will randomly choose one vaccinated individual to win a $1,500 “passport” back to entertainment.

The prize includes four tickets to:

  • A Braves game at Truist Park
  • A future Hawks game in a suite
  • Six Flags Over Georgia
  • Georgia Aquarium
  • World of Coca-Cola
  • Zoo Atlanta
  • College Football Hall of Fame

“There are so many activities we haven’t had the chance to enjoy since the onset of the pandemic, so we wanted to create this ‘passport’ as a way for one lucky winner to get back out into the world feeling like a VIP,” Dave Preter, president and CEO of Georgia’s Own Credit Union, said in a press release. “As critical as vaccination is to get us all back to normal, if this incentive can play even a small part in encouraging the public to get their shots, our mission will be accomplished!”

To participate, all you have to do is post your vaccination selfie on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #GeorgiasOwnPassport.

If you were one of the first in line to get a shot in the arm, you’re still eligible. Just post your celebratory photo again, this time adding the hashtag.

The contest is open until 11:59:59 p.m. Monday, May 17. A winner will be selected on May 18. You can read the official rules here.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently asked Georgians on social media for their suggestions for what the state could offer to lure vaccination holdouts. Suggestions included sports tickets, gift cards and free admission to museums or the zoo.
