We’re revamping our Success Story column and looking for readers’ stories. We’re moving away from gauging success by the scale and instead measuring it by changes in health habits. Here’s just a few suggestions:

  • Have you added a new health habit during the pandemic lockdown such as daily walks or daily meditation, or have you added a wellness/fitness coach who changed your health and you’ve managed to keep it up?
  • Did you muster the motivation and start or recommit to an activity you used to do such as going to Pilates class, running with friends, doing yoga, riding bikes with your family or performing some other activity that has had a positive impact on your health?
  • Have you made changes in your mindset that powerfully changed your health and well-being?
  • Or after much effort did you finally discover an issue that was affecting your health, such as a metabolic problem, medical issue, hormonal imbalance, food intolerance or allergy that with treatment and changes in health habits led to improved health and well-being?

We’re looking for your stories of changes in health habits that are leading to successful lifestyle changes. We want your before and after photos, to know your step-by-step suggestions and how-tos in case we want to try it out, too.

If you would like to share your story, please contact reporter Michelle C. Brooks and include your email address, phone number, and before and after photos (by mail or JPEG), and contact us at: Success Stories, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 223 Perimeter Center Parkway, Atlanta, GA, 30346-1301; or email Michelle C. Brooks directly at: ajcsuccessstories@gmail.com.
