Easter egg hunts are happening all over the metro Atlanta area this weekend, but it's also time for Dad's Garage's annual BaconFest, a fundraising celebration of smoky pork gooodness.

Avondale Estates Easter Egg Hunt. The city of Avondale Estates will once again host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Community Club at Lake Avondale. Children up to 10 years of age are welcome to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt, which starts promptly at 10 a.m. The hunt is divided into four sections based on age: 2 and under, 3-4 years, 5-7 years and 8-10 years. Bring your furry canine friend for the annual dog parade (costumes encouraged), happening at the same time as the Easter Egg Hunt. 10 a.m.-noon March 26. Free. Eggstravaganza at Callanwolde. Kids bring their own baskets and scour the chromatic flora-lined grounds for plastic eggs packed with candy and the ever-elusive three golden prize eggs. Ages 3 and younger hit the grass at 11:15 a.m., ages 4-6 at 11:30 a.m. and ages 7-12 hunt at 11:45 a.m. No event parking will be available at Callanwolde. 10 a.m.-noon March 26. Cobb County Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your flashlights to this egg hunt open to children up to 17. There will also be children's art activities, live entertainment, inflatables, Hula Hoop contest, tug-of-war contest, musical chairs, and food vendors. Camp Serenbe Easter Egg Hunt. This fun-filled event will feature fair rides, face painting, pony rides and of course Easter egg hunts for kids 12 and under on the lovely inn grounds at Serenbe. Enter the grounds beginning at 9:30 a.m., and kids will search for eggs at different times based on age, with children 2 and under starting at 10:30 a.m. Drinks and food will be provided by Serenbe's Farmhouse restaurant. 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 26. $5 per child for Easter egg hunt. Chattahoochee Bend State Park Easter egg hunt. Bring your baskets and camera; 1,000 candy- and prize-filled eggs and the Easter Bunny will be there. Age groups 0-4, 5-8, 9-12. Atlanta Film Festival. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the fest is screening 200 films in locations such as the Ponce City Market rooftop, the Center for Puppetry Arts and the Plaza Theatre. The 10-day festival will kick off on April 1 with a screening of "The Fundamentals of Caring," a movie that was filmed in Atlanta in 2015 and stars actors Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez. HBO's "Confirmation," starring "Scandal's" Kerry Washington, will also screen during the festival. In the film, Washington plays Anita Hill, Clarence Thomas' assistant who accused him of sexual harassment during his 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings. The movie was filmed in Atlanta.
