The Archdiocesan Office for Black Catholic Ministry will is hosting a weekend-long celebration of the life and legacy of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The theme of the weekend is “The Content of Their Character: Made in the Image and Likeness of God- Remembering the 16th Street Baptist Church Four Little Girls and the Martyrs of the Civil Rights Era.” Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will celebrate Mass on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 48 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Atlanta. A Youth Celebration will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Peter Claver Regional Catholic School, 2560 Tilson Road, Decatur.
