There is always plenty to do in Atlanta. Whether you're attending a concert, the Atlanta Fair or watching a play.
From classic productions such as the “The Sound of Music” to the newer “Kinky Boots,” there are plenty of options for theater lovers over the new few weeks.
Here are a few suggestions if you’re trying to decide what to see in March:
“The Sound of Music”
This production of "The Sound of Music" won't be drastically different from the story many fans have come to know and love. Still, musical supervisor Andy Einhorn told the AJC that this production will invite the audience to look at the popular musical in a new way.

“The Revolutionists”
Atlanta playwright Lauren Gunderson’s “The Revolutionists” will open on March 3 at 7 Stages. The comedy is set during the French Revolution and tackles gender inequality and racial tension from the perspectives of four Frenchwomen.

“Pirates of Penzance”
The Atlanta Opera will take on this fun production that pits pirates against each other as they vie for the attention of the daughters of Major-General Stanley.

“Sleeping Beauty”
The Gwinnett Symphony and Northeast Atlanta Ballet are teaming up to tell the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty at the Infinite Energy Center.

“Kinky Boots”
This popular musical is making its Atlanta debut on March 29. In addition to winning a Tony for Best Musical in 2013, the production helped Cyndi Lauper become the first woman to win a Tony for Best Score.
