These 4 Georgia parks will be free all day to celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th birthday

The National Park Service is celebrating its 100th birthday by giving Georgia families free entry into four state parks and attractions Friday.

All year, NPS, the government agency that runs all 59 national parks across the country, has offered up free entry days in January, February and April this year to reward the outdoorsy citizens that have kept national parks alive.

Today, residents across Georgia can explore the following nature and historical sites for free: 

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Oglethorpe,

Cumberland Island National Seashore in St. Mary's
Fort Pulaski National Monument  in Savannah

The savings offered at the 400 parks around the country ranges between $3 to $30 per admission.

All of these state attractions will also waive admission fees on dates in September and November as part of the park service’s 100th birthday celebration.
