Andrew Lincoln, star of "The Walking Dead," made an appearance at the first-ever Oakhurst Porchfest last year. And festival organizers just announced a second chance for a celebrity sighting.

This year's Oakhurst Porchfest 2016 is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur between Agnes Scott College and Kirkwood.

Sponsored by Decatur Metro, Decatur Arts Alliance and others, the grassroots music fest transforms an entire neighborhood of porches into concert stages for local musicians.

The inaugural event, suggested by resident Scott Doyon, featured more than 130 diverse performances, including orchestral pop group Oryx & Crake, country rock group The Skylarks, blues and rock group The Canarys and many more.

According to the event website, October's free festival will have extended hours from noon to 6 p.m. with a "closing throwdown" in Harmony Park and more food than last year.

You can find a full lineup of performances or volunteer opportunities on the website oakhurstporchfest.org.

Organizers are continuously sharing updates on the Facebook event page and announced Sunday that they're looking for a band to replace a cancellation. This is your chance, budding stars!

Gak! Here we go again. An 11th hour cancellation means we need a replacement band. First to PM us with band name, contact name, phone, email, and one sentence description of the shtick gets it. Thx!
