Work can be stressful at times, and you need a way to unwind on a Friday evening. Some people grab a drink with friends, while others cuddle up with a furry friend.
Soon, you can do both at the same time.
Atlanta Brewing Co., Java Cats Cafe and Adventure Cats are hosting an evening of kittens, beer and lots of "pawsome purr-izes," called Mews and Brews.
The event isn't just a fundraiser for Furkids, Atlanta's largest no-kill rescue and animal shelter. It's also an adoption event, so you can find a new friend.

There will be a beer release from Atlanta Brewing Co., live music, and local artists and vendors.
You can also buy tickets to vote for donated items you'd like to win from Tuft + Paw, sarahpaintspets, Wander North Georgia, Your Cat Backpack, Pet Wine Shop, Workman Publishing, Carol Mann Agency, Adventure Cats, Java Cats Café and more. All ticket purchases will benefit Furkids. The first 50 people through the door will get a gift bag.
There will also be a kitten lounge, where you can hang out and play with the cats — and give them a furrever home. Adoption will be possible that evening.
