Pamper your pooch at this fabulous fundraiser on Sunday
Atlanta recording artist Big Boi has added a fun new project to his portfolio: He's partnered with Bobbi Panter, actress and writer turned creator of natural pet shampoos and pet skin care, for the "Big Boi and Bobbi" line of luxurious doggie shampoo.
Antwan Andre' Patton, as Big is also known, has for about two decades operated Pitfall Kennels, a breeding and rescue facility, with his brother James Patton. The shampoo line reflects Big's love for and expertise with animals, and Panter's canine cosmetology skills.
“What we put on our pets is just as important as what we put in our pets,” she said in a statement.
You and your four-legged friends can experience the products while benefiting a cause at “Drybark,” a fundraiser for Canine Companions for Independence. The charity provides highly trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities.
The fundraiser is planned for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Barking Hound Village, 50 Pharr Road in Atlanta. Tickets are $50 each. To have your pet washed and professionally groomed, the additional fee is $20 for small dogs, $30 for medium-sized dogs and $40 for large dogs. In addition, the event will feature a silent auction and gourmet dog treats for the haute hounds and cocktails, cupcakes and other light bites for their human friends.
See BarkingHoundVillage.com for event tickets and www.CCI.org for information on Canine Companions for Independence.
