Stage: "Two Trains Running," August Wilson's inspiring story about a protest that changed a nation, is the latest production from True Colors Theatre Company. It's at the Southwest Arts Center through March 10. See our preview of the show.

Stage: Horizon Theatre Company presents an encore run of its successful 2011 show "The Waffle Palace: Smothered, Covered & Scattered 24/7/365." It runs through March 17.

Stage:"Fly" follows the African-American Army Air Corps fighters who flew during World War II. The play is presented by Theatrical Outfit at the Balzer Theater at Herren's and runs through March 10.

Stage: Atlanta Shakespeare Company's annual production of "Romeo and Juliet," the classic tale of star-crossed lovers, continues through March 3 at the New American Shakespeare Tavern.

Stage: Fabrefaction Theatre Company presents the Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple," about a pair of mismatched divorced men. It runs through March 3.

Music: She's best known as Beyonce's sister, but Solange has a fascinating and varied music career of her own. She'll play the Masquerade at 7 p.m. Feb. 28.

Flowers, family fun: Spring is in the air at the Atlanta Botanical Garden as "Atlanta Blooms" opens for the season March 1. It continues through April 30.

Stage: The Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville presents Athol Fugard's apartheid drama "Master Harold and the Boys" through March 3. see our review of the production.

Stage: Celebrate the music of Nigerian musical eminence Fela Anikulapo Kuti in the stage musical "Fela." It runs Feb. 28 through March 3 at the Fox Theatre.

FRIDAY

Music: Coastal Georgia's McIntosh County Shouters are keeping a venerable musical tradition alive. They'll perform at 8 p.m. March 1 at Georgia State University's Florence Kopleff Recital Hall. The show is free, but reservations are required. Check our our preview of the show.

Stage: The Fern Theatre presents "The Baltimore Waltz," Paula Vogel's tale of the love and adventures of a brother and sister, written in response to Vogel's brother's death. It runs March 1-16 at 7 Stages Backstage Theatre.

Family fun, recreation: Hit the midway at the Atlanta Fair March 1-4. It's in the Gray Parking Lot at Turner Field.

SATURDAY

Food and drink, festival: Some of our favorite things come together at Beer, Bourbon and BBQ. VIP session begins at noon March 2 and the regular session begins at 2 p.m. at Atlantic Station.

Music, stage: The Atlanta Opera presents Verdi's "La Traviata" at 8 p.m. March 2 and 8, 7:30 p.m. March 5 and 3 p.m. March 10 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Music: The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Gala brings in Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers at 7:30 p.m. March 2 at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

Music: Travel the world through music with the brassy Indian funk of  Red Baraat and the Brazilian flavors of Rua 6 at 8 p.m. March 2 at the Rialto Center for the Art. See our preview of the show.

Music: The master of the ukulele Jake Shimabukuro performs at Georgia Tech's Ferst Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. March 2.

Flowers: Spring is on it's way and so are the flowers. The American Daffodil Society Southeast Regional Daffodil Show happens noon-5 p.m. March 2 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell.

Food and drink, festival: Taste & Brews Beer Fest happens 1-6 p.m. March 2 at the Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market.

SUNDAY

Performing arts, family fun: Thrill to motorcycle daredevils, clowns, acrobats and more at the Piccadilly Circus, with shows at 1:30, 3:30 and 6 p.m.  March 3 at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta.

Music:Solo Duo is guitarists Matteo Mela and Lorenzo Micheli, making their Spivey Hall debut with music by Piazzolla, Debussy and more at 3 p.m. March 3.

MONDAY

Music: Get punk with an Irish accent from Boston's Dropkick Murphys at 7:30 p.m. March 4 at the Tabernacle.
