'Muppet Babies' crawling back to TV

The show, which aired from 1984 to 1991, will now be CG animated and will be shown on the Disney Junior network in 2018.

Disney acquired the rights to the Muppets in 2004 from the family of Jim Henson, Forbes reported. Henson died in 1990.

The new show will be marketed to children ages 4-7, CNN reported.

The original series followed characters including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Gonzo during their "toddler years."

Disney also announced that it's bringing back "DuckTales" next year. "Fraggle Rock" is coming back to HBO.

Nickelodeon is making TV movies of "Legends of the Hidden Temple" and "Hey, Arnold," as well as a special based on "Rocko's Modern Life," Variety reported.
