It is an end of an era for Comedy Central as one of the network's hit shows is losing its anchor.
After more than 15 years behind the desk, Jon Stewart will be stepping away from "The Daily Show" on Thursday night.
The network is giving the fake news anchor a supersized sendoff as the show's 20-plus minute format is being stretched to 50 minutes, Mediaite is reporting.
The final guests have not been announced, but the shows leading up to Stewart's swan song have had some heavy hitters from the comedy world like Amy Schumer, Dennis Leary and Louis CK.

While Stewart's plans for after the show have not been released, the desk will have a new life once the lights go out Thursday night.
The set will be donated to the Newseum in Washington, D.C., National Public Radio reported.
Stewart was the second anchor of the Comedy Central series. The show began in 1996 with Craig Kilborn as the host.
Trevor Noah, a comedian from South Africa, will take over the anchor duties in September. He is a contributor who joined the show last year, according to Comedy Central.
