It is official, after 14 season, the next installment, will be the last for American Idol.

The 15th season will begin in January 2016.

The show that made the Kelly Clarkson a household name, made the announcement Monday morning on its Twitter page.

Within minutes of the announcement, fans went to social media to comment.
