D'oh.
"Simpsons" star Harry Shearer – who voices Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Waylon Smithers, Principal Skinner and other characters – is leaving the animated series after 26 seasons, Time reports.
Shearer tweeted early Thursday that a lawyer for James L. Brooks, the show's executive producer, told him that the "show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best."
"This because I wanted what we've always had: the freedom to do other work," Shearer added.
