It's no secret that one of the many joys "Sharknado" fans get out of the faux horror movie franchise is the countless celebrity cameos sprinkled throughout the films. (Video via Syfy / "Sharknado")
And the third installment is no exception.
"Nobody attacks my house. This time, it's personal," said Mark Cuban during "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!"
That was none other than the Dallas Mavericks owner kicking fin and taking names as the President of the United States in "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" And yes, Maria Menounos is in the corner.
Syfy's senior vice president of program strategy told ESPN, "We were looking for talent that was larger than life. ... We knew Mark was a 'maverick' who could pull it off." Good one, guy.
But wait, there's more. Cuban's wasn't the only familiar face that made an appearance during "Sharknado 3's" Wednesday night premiere.
Here's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kim Richards getting pummeled into the sidewalk by a shark. (Video via Bravo / "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills")
"You can't take those cars! I'm gonna lose my job! AH!" said Richards.
And scandal-politician Anthony Weiner portrayed the head of the National Weather Service.
"The NASA Weather Satellite Center is tracking the tropical depression and recommends residents make arrangements to evacuate if necessary," said Weiner.
And what movie would be complete without an appearance from the David Hasselhoff? (Video via Sony BMG Music Entertainment / David Hasselhoff)
"Not to mention, the sharks," said Hasselhoff.
Even the promos for the fin-tastic flick were star-studded. Weird, but star-studded. (Video via Benefit Cosmetics)
Now, cramming all of these big names into one flick might seem pretty simple. But "Sharknado 3's" director told Zap2it it's trickier than it sounds. (Video via Syfy / "Sharknado 2: The Second One")
Now, not everyone was a huge fan of "Oh Hell No's" cameos.
Especially the New York Post, which claimed, "The franchise's status as a magnet for celebrities forgotten and desperate reaches new heights with 'Sharknado 3.'" Ouch.
But a critic over at Yahoo disagrees, saying the flick, in all its bloody, cheesy glory, works the way it is. "Viewed on the terms of its own idiosyncratic idiocy, it all holds together."
We guess we'll let you judge for yourself. "Sharknado 3" will continue to air on Syfy throughout the weekend. Oh, hell yes.
