People reported that the idea is part of the U.K. charity Save the Children's Jumper Day campaign set to take place Dec. 16, which encourages people to put on their greatest Christmas sweaters and donate to the cause.

Queen Elizabeth donned a sparkly green sweater with a corgi wearing a crown on it, to commemorate the fact that the queen has four corgis, which came to the photo shoot. Prince Harry wore a green sweater with an adorable penguin on the front. Prince William and Princess Kate wore one huge Christmas-themed sweater made for two.

"We are delighted to support Save The Children by having our royal wax figures join in with the Christmas Jumper Day campaign in a seriously stylish way," Edward Fuller, general manager of Madame Tussauds London, told People.

Those visiting London this month can see the entire wax figures of the royal family in their Christmas sweaters at Madame Tussauds through December.
