Circus fans in Atlanta are preparing to say farewell to"The Greatest Show on Earth” this month after Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus announced that they’d be closing permanently in May.

The circus is just one of several noteworthy events that will take place in metro Atlanta this week.

Alvin Ailey

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will perform the critically acclaimed “Revelations,” a work that incorporates blues, spirituals and gospel, at the Fox Theater this week.

Lauryn Hill

This time, Hill is performing indoors at The Tabernacle. Maybe she'll even be on time, although we wouldn't count on it. The singer was recently three hours late to a show in Pittsburgh. By the time she arrives onstage it might not be Valentine's Day anymore.

Andrea Bocelli 

If you’re looking to attend a classical concert with your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, famed tenor Andrea Bocelli is performing a special concert at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth.

Bocelli will perform a selection of “arias, crossover hits, special love songs and new music off his latest album, “Cinema.”
