Ponce City Market’s tower lights up for Pride Month

Ponce City Market is celebrating Pride Month and the LGBT community throughout the remainder of June.

The mixed-use community has announced that the building’s tower will showcase a rainbow-themed display every night from 8:30 p.m.-midnight through June 30. The display will repeat every 40 seconds.

Here is a video of the display:

Earlier this month, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed announced that the city would install permanent rainbow crosswalks in Midtown, at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street. The area serves as a popular hub for the local LGBT community.

Reed’s announcement fell on the anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.
