It was Usher Raymond IV's idea to file for divorce from his wife Tameka Foster Raymond in the first place.

But now the Grammy-winning R&B star and Atlanta resident apparently is holding up the deal by not signing the final settlement documents, according to the New York Daily News.

Usher filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court in June, two years after he married his wife. Prior to that reports were circulating that the two had been separated for at least a year.

According to the New York Daily News, the two worked out a settlement about a month ago. The papers are filed with the Atlanta court, but Usher hasn't signed them, the newspaper said.

The couple have two sons together, 1 1/2-year-old Usher Raymond V and 10-month-old Naviyd.

Usher has been singing about his divorce woes, however. On Tuesday, he released a single, "Papers," that details his split from his wife, the Daily News says.
