A big cat is getting musician Kid Rock into big trouble with animal rights advocates.
This month, Kid Rock joined passionate hunter and rocker Ted Nugent on a hunt. On his Facebook page, Nugent proudly posted a photo of him and Kid Rock, who is holding a dead cougar.
“Hail my Motor City boy Kid Rock for saving all those mule deer, elk and livestock by whacking this magnificent mountain lion,” writes Nugent. (The cougar is often referred to as a mountain lion.)

Nugent predicts the backlash from animal supporters, calling them, “brain-dead squawkers.”
The image has gone viral, with several thousand likes and comments, both in support and in protest.
Kid Rock, who has a new album, “First Kiss,” due out on Feb. 24, has not commented on the controversial photo.
