Despite the fact that Josh Hutcherson had a lot to celebrate at this year's MTV Movie Awards, he didn't mind taking a moment to honor his friend and "Hunger Games" co-star, Philip Seymour Hoffman.

When Josh and his Catching Fire co-star, Sam Claflin, accepted the movie's latest accolade, the Movie of The Year award, Josh stopped to remember the late actor who died unexpectedly of an overdose in February.

"It was so cool to have Philip in our movies," Josh said, according to Us Weekly. "He's one of the actors I've looked up to my entire life. I know if Philip were here he would think this was really cool. We think about him every day on set, so wherever he is, this goes out to him, too."

Philip, who played Plutarch Heavensbee in the second installment of "The Hunger Games," was just a couple of weeks shy of finishing out his role in Mockingjay when he was found dead in his apartment in New York. The films will continue to incorporate Philip's character posthumously as planned bydigitally recreating his image.

"Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation," a statement from "Hunger Games" studio Lionsgate said after Philip's death. "We're very fortunate that he graced our "Hunger Games" family. Losing him in his prime is a tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Philip's family."
